The central point about schooling, education and life opportunities [SELO] [in so far as those can be measurably affected by the supposed choice supposedly available to parents and guardians] is missing from your piece. It is to do with the practical relevance of locally expressed ‘democracy’. For decades, the propaganda by either side of the so-called class divide on SELO has been dominated by bogus factors. Distance and catchment and all that.
The missing factor has been the role of the Local Education Authorities in monitoring and auditing the service being delivered in each and every school.
The rigour and the ardour that ought to have been evident in every school regardless of distance, demography have been denied by all the familiar, slightly professionally and careeristically active parties that keep coming on stage whenever the ‘issue’ gets on the topical angst list every so often.
When was the last time that a serious and sustained and conclusive examination was conducted of what the thousands of listed governors do on the school governing body facades?
From start to finish, the selection of the majority of the governors is as undemocratic, antidemocratic and antagonistic to accountability by and in a school as is the case with the counterparts routines about local councillors. It is time that those two layers got the serious and the sustained scrutiny that they must be treated to before another word is repeated about post code, catchment and all the rest of the diversions.
For those diversions themselves represent the layers of Royal Mail and the law and order agencies who too are gloriously [!] allowed exemption from audit which then combine to make up the sinking states on so many estates that also ‘house’ so many schools that are in the process every term being failed by the failure of democracy in every single borough.
Generations are being degenerated through this deficit in democracy in the schools!

All parts of the population must be able to debate, diagnose and discard the violations that the central Government and the London mayor are imposing on us in every borough in every single area of our existence in the over-hyped city.
When Livingstone boasted on BBC Mayor Special editon Question Time [April 2008] that he had LIED to get the 2012 Hosting for London and said that he had done the lying to help 'regenerate' East London, he was let off without being quizzed on the definition of each of the three components of his broadcast bragging: lying, regeneration and East End. Had he been quizzed, there would be no difficulty in showing up that outrage as the three components would not connect.
For a start, the East End had never asked for the imposition.
Regeneration has not been defined to make ordinary people better off in the East End. The 2012 Hosting does not have any logical or empirical connection with a licence that Livingstone should have been allowed to connect and then perpetrate the lying.
In the context of the CONDEM regime's continuation of the 'elected' executive model - for the Police - it is necessary to examine the democratic state of the areas that have been lumbered with elected executive mayor, a 'cause' that Ken Livingstone backed with such blatant ferocity that he was adamant to risk internal and publicly expressed opprobrium from the Blaired party bureaucracy doing it in Tower Hamlets. So undemocratic and dysfunctional has Tower Hamlets Council become since Ken Livingstone's' s fantasy 'executive mayor' mode was allegedly adopted that the Council's budget cannot be passed at a single sitting! It was LIVINGSTONE who had bragged on 6 February 2010 at a hyped up platform he shared with Keith Vaz [from the ‘East End’ borough of Leicester!] that Tower Hamlets Council would function as an efficient and accountable and uncorrupted body if only an elected mayor was allowed to get into post in the name of the people of the inner city deprived area’s local Council!

Muhammad Haque diagnoses Ken Livingstone's commitment to fight a pro-democratic campaign over the needs of London as scheduled in May 2012
The Muhammad Haque London Commentary has been posted on the web site of the Wandsworth Guardian title at 1030 Hrs GMT Today Saturday 26 february 2011.
In the commentary, which has ben prompted by the 'exclusive' interview that title has been carrying with Ken Livingstone. also published online by that local newspaper web site.
Muhammad Haque has long commented exclusively as the evidence shows, on the role Ken Livingstone has played in the “London political office” circuit. According to Muhammad Haque’s studies of Ken Livingstone, the former ‘London mayor’ and ex-leader of the over-hyped Greater London Council [=GLC] has been a deterrent to local democratic movements in London.
Those whom Ken Livingstone has ‘befriended’ over the decades, have been almost exclusively people who have either sought or been given one type of preferment or another via the outfits where Livingstone has held a decision-making power-linked post at one time or another. Other than those, Ken Livingstone has not got any citable number of political allies who are his allies because of the principle full stop.
Throughout Livingstone’s career in elected offices,. he has been criticised over the generation of cronies around his given tenure in a given office.
This is something that Muhammad Haque sought to focus attention on DECADES before any of the ‘mainstream’ media were prepared to even recognise its existence.
In the three years or so since creeping allegations began to mar Ken Livingstone's ‘re-election’ ‘campaign’ of May 2008, Muhammad Haque has observed on the record that Livingstone has got to deal with this aspect of his ‘political career flaw’. But Livingstone has left it aside. In fact his fabricated acolytes have sought to carry on the denial thus damaging any image of a politician with integrity that Ken Livingstone must configure himself to be.
There is now undeniable evidence that those who have sought to promote the image of the invented ‘London-scene’ ‘politician’ Oona King are not sitting idly even after they had fast-tracked the ‘former’ ‘East End ‘ “MP” into the ‘House of Peers’ - thus giving her a look of ‘parliamentary platform’ ‘legitimacy’ that evidentially baffles the people in Tower Hamlets who had been left with no option but to reject her in Bethnal Green and Bow in May 2005.
The evidence of this activity to ‘derail’ [see more later in this commentary on the interesting word, ‘derail’] Ken Livingstone are spotted all over the “mainstream” “media” where strange claims - all unfounded on facts - are planted regularly under all kinds of excuses to create a ‘persona’ called ‘Oona King’ as a recognisable political entity’.
In contrast, Ken Livingstone is berated at the readiest of excuses. Nothing is more fantastic than the ‘allegation’ that Ken Livingstone has taken the dirty [in the sense of being dubious, less than legitimate] money form the Iranian regime!
It is entirely factually correct that Ken Livingstone has been one of the ‘personalities’ from the UK who has been making regular [or at least ‘periodic] appearances in the PRESSTV slots. But the venom that has been aimed at Ken Livingstone by accusing him of links with the Iranian regime because of the PRESSTV appearances is not accidental. Why? Because even one or more than one of Ken Livingstone’s ‘accusers’ have themselves been recipients of the Iranian regime’s cash via PRESSTV!
So why do they hurl their venom at Ken Livingstone?
This question has been raised a few times already but these accusers do not answer. Because they know that they are being deliberately and unjustifiably venomous and are picking on Ken Livingstone because of his political stance on international issues REGARDLESS of his appearances on PRESSTV.
Had his accusers been objective and fair then they would have investigated Yvonne Ridley, Lauren Booth, Andrew Gilligan AND a hundred or so OTHERS from the UK who have made various appearances on slots broadcast by the PRESSTV network.
Some of the ‘guests’ on PRESSTV have included the likes of ‘Charlie Wolf’, an American-accented and demeanoured die-hard critic of everything ‘Revolutionary’ Iranian. Charlie Wolf in effect constitutes almost one half of the duo of GWBush Brigade that has operated on the British media stands for as long as recent and contemporary memory stretches.
Yet the ‘mainstream’ media ‘commentators’ do not raise one hair of discomfort at the role of Janet Daly or Charlie Wolf. Or indeed that of Anne Leslie, the most effective Right wing, reactionary, pro-empire, pro-discrimination propagandist that has been allowed to dominate the BBC and allied ‘mainstream British media’ platforms and slots for the past at least 20 years.
Against this evidence, Ken Livingstone would do well to review his tactics as well as reviewing his ‘principles’ as far as those affect his use of the intention of his use of any public powers when in office or near it. If Livingstone either refuses to heed this or fails to then he alone will be the main party to blame for the failure to restore a pro-democratic political atmosphere in London as far as that is possible by linking the electoral behaviour of the registered eligible voters in May 2012.
There is a lot more that Ken Livingstone must do to prove his relevance to the ordinary people of the East End of London. He has got no option but to stop deterring democratic and being party to the pro-democracy movement in the East End of London.

Interested to observe that in your account as published of the exclusive interview with Ken Livingstone, there is no mention of the words “audit”, “accountability”, “transparency”, “democracy", "discrimination”,“prejudice, “ethics”, “morality” or indeed of “poverty”.
Could it be because neither Ken Livingstone nor you [that is your publication] referred to the concepts denoted by these words?
Or was it, just by chance, the fact that either of you did mention to one of more of these words [quoted above] and it was decided, afterwards prepublication not to recognise their importance to the potential voters of the suitability of the candidate who is one of only two [so far] declared candidates that can electorally return to that post after the scheduled election in just over a year’s time? In the context of the events that have been reported by the ‘mainstream’ ‘British media’ from the Arabic-speaking countries [in the past five weeks or so], of which Libya has been being treated with the most intensive Western Media attention, what would the man who has occupied one or more than one “elected” office in the name of the people of London [a Borough or of the “Greater London” area itself have to say by way of sharing his views on the rights of ordinary people in the context of long-in-post ‘rulers’?
I am asking this in view of the fact that in the period since Oona King’s promoters encountered a slight ‘delay’ [my diagnosis] in installing her in the post of official candidate of the Bliared Party, Ken Livingstone has been given the sort of media configuration that inevitably leads to the temptation to conclude that he is not quite democratic! This looks set to get even more intense as polling day gets nearer.
And Livingstone LOOKS [as he did last Sunday when he shared the BBC TV slot with Andrew Marr] resigned to play it ‘safe’ so that he does not upset the promoters of Oona King or the agenda that they are running. It is also quite possible, going by the contens of your report, that Ken Livingstone is playing it too safe and is thus failing to raise even those issues that he could raise without having to fear internal Blair Party ‘reprisals’ from Oona King’s entrenched promoters! If this is indeed the ‘reasoning’ then London is going to get even less democratic than it has been under the CONDEM regime. And that London will get even less accountable, less transparent and less ethical under a newly-rubber-stamped [May 2012, as currently scheduled] occupant in the “Onion’.

Even the BBC News Channel news script-reader Fiona Armstrong could be forgiven a wry smile as she battled to contain the giggles forced by the state of ‘don’t panic’ regime that CONDEM was running in Britain this morning.
Fake jokes and considerate [and now extra-respectable ‘mature’] news readers of Fiona Armstrong’s citations aside, the fact is that CLEGGERON is on to a loser at home too. Not only has Dave Cameron been exposed for the shallowness of his entire profile so shabbily and incredibly faked on the back of the very ‘interesting’[in the Chinese proverbial sense] times and events across the strategically oil-rich Middle East and Arabia, his ‘co-Colluding best mate’ Nick Clegg has come unstuck on his insulting version of Governance too. Together they are embarrassing not only the ordinary UK public.
The propaganda-dependent pair are also at the same time reinforcing by their crass roles the evidential conclusion that they will seek to compensate for their latest exposure by staging something else. They will almost certainly stage a plausible pretext packaged in a parade of poisonous propaganda for another very costly and unwise diversion. As they rush to further the agenda of the Military Industrial Complex- that is in real control of the propaganda onslaught intended to derail all democratic campaigners in the Middle East, Clegg and Cameron will still continue to fabricate and fake the truth on the dire state of the UK’s declining economic performance and social fragmentation. Nor will you hear it in any of the grotesquely promoted ethnicity linked ‘meeja’ channels brought to you via the negligently careless and inactive OFCOM’s scandalously proffered and renewed licences and carried on Rupert Murdoch's SKY.Com! THEY have been busy peddling the lying image that Tower Hamlets is now the alleged centre of the extension of all things Bangladeshi ‘success’! There is not one ‘bulletin’, one slot that goes on air without uttering that lie. Ordinary people in Tower Hamlets from ALL backgrounds are undermined or denied the existence of. The image created is unreal on these satellite channels or scandals channels to be more factual. We shall also do what Ruth Kelly in 2007 had failed to do.
In 2007, Ruth Kelly, a notoriously reported ‘Tower Hamlets Borough resident’ was in what Eric Pickles [God help us!] is currently confined to: a post as cabinet minster while imprisoned by a Prime Minister who is showing increasing lack of knowledge of the subjects that he gallivants around opining on! We had, typically generously, asked Ruth Kelly to come and see us at a location that we had chosen in the Brick Lane London E1 area for the learning session so she would learn the basic facts about Tower Hamlets peoples. Being a blitheringly blasé Bliarite, Ruth Kelly failed to get the message. She lost out.

The image of ‘migrants’ as daily fuelled by the likes of Richard Desmond’s DAILY EXPRESS is that of an invader from the outer space. Not from territories and countries where “the British” had invaded, occupied and colonised lasting for centuries. Although more people arrive in the UK from the so called former Eastern European countries, the TARGET audience that the DAILY EXPRESS incites does NOT SEE THAT! It sees Asians, Africans and people who do not look the same colour as the main population of Europe. And when this happens, the target audience also likes to associate the migrants with London streets such as the Whitechapel Road market [the bit of Whitechapel Road between the London Hospital and the Whitechapel tube Station] that have simultaneously been over-photographed and overemphasised as part of the third-tier propaganda being conducted on the minds of the ordinary population in the name of ‘national’ aims and ‘interests’. How is this kind of ‘journalism’ advancing any aspect of any values of any remnant of ‘civilisation’?

The UK broadcast media regulator OFCOM has been failing in many respects. One of the areas in which OFCOM has been failing is to be found in what I have been describing for a decade or so now [on the evidence] as the ‘ethnicty-linked outlets. That operative concept can be written either with question marks or without, as long as the two words ‘ethnicity’ and ‘linked’ are linked by a hyphen separating the state of their connection! I have made the distinction between the two words ‘ethnic’ and ‘ethnicity’, in order to denote the core purpose being served by these outlets. That purpose on the evidence is to mislead and to rob. They mislead and they rob the very community whose zomby-washed image and collectivised name is being invoked in [the traders] seeking or grabbing hold of their OFCOM licenses and related tokens of ‘legitimacy’ necessary to ply the trade ‘in broadcasting’ . And there is no evidence this week as there has been none in the years since OFCOM became ‘responsible’ [‘licensed itself to use powers’] for regulating these outlets that OFCOM has what it takes to conduct regulation even at a conceptual level let alone in reality. Striving since 4 May 1978 to create a society in Britain that is more tolerant than it was until the moment in the afternoon when Altab Ali on his way home from work in a factory in the Brick Lane London E1 area became a most reluctant martyr.
Altab Ali followed Tosir Ali who too had become a martyr a decade or so earlier also in the East End of London borough of Tower Hamlets. Only two months after Altab Ali’s martyrdom there was another Seelotee language speaker Ishaque Ali who too became a martyr following an attack in the London Borough of Hackney.
The first public meeting demanding action against such attacks was held on Sunday 07 May 1978 at a building called the Grand Palais cinema.
Thousands of Seelotee language speaking workers gathered to demand urgent action and justice for Altab Ali. The meeting was organised by the campaigning group consisting of Mr Abdul Aziz [of Debarai village in the Asirgonj bazaar side of the river Kushira in the Beani Bazaar Upazilla], Muhammad Haque [of Chandarpur, Kushiara, in the Golapgonj Upazilla] and their students Abdus Salam [1], Abdus Salam [2], Somodul Ullah, Najabot Ali [Niazi] [deceased], Monuhar Ali, Ruhul Amin, Azizul Haque [deceased] and a number of close supporters of the campaign in defence of the community.
The Abdul Aziz and Muhammad Haque group of campaigners had begun to mobilise opinion in defence of the community since Sunday 02 December 1973.

According to him, that report left no doubt any longer that housing benefit had become a top national economic problem that could not be allowed to remain unresolved. He gave no evidence. Nor has Cameron. So where is the Official Parliamentary Opposition to CONDEM Cameron demanding evidence on that?

What are they meaning by that? The answer was uttered by Talksport presenter Ian Collins who appeared as a newspaper reviewer on the BBC News Channel last night. According to him, that report left no doubt any longer that housing benefit had become a top national economic problem that could not be allowed to remain unresolved. He gave no evidence. Nor has Cameron. So where is the Official Parliamentary Opposition to CONDEM Cameron demanding evidence on that?

In fact the East End of London has been the setting of pro-democracy action for decades.So how is it that this isn’t mentioned by the BBC? Or by the ITV or by Rupert Murdoch's SKY news network? In fact, how is it that the printed symbol [and now ‘aggressively ferociously liberally’ on the Internet] the Guardian does not recognise this?
The answer is that all of these institutions and agencies have got a lot to lose if democratic actions in the inner cities as represented by the democratic activities in the East End of London are recognised.
These agencies will lose in the sense that their roles will be exposed in the process of the truth being told about other agencies and about the stage and its local and regional operations as against the democratic demands and desires ofd ordinary people.
Take the sad case of the Guardian, London, ‘front-controlled’ [this word is devised here and now by AADHIKAR Media] partly by Alan Rusbridger's and ‘wife’ Lindsey Mackie and by Polly Toynbee and assorted other subsidiary fronters on the other hand. Despite overwhelming evidence that the Guardian has been for DECADES suppressing the truth about the fact and the extent of the squalor and the denials and the hardships being caused in Britain by those with controlling powers and influence on what happens to the public resources and to public rights, entitlements, despite undeniable evidence that democracy is being routinely suppressed in all parts of Britain, despite overwhelmingly objectively verifiable evidence that successive regimes. ententes, alliances and Collusions fronting the forces in control of the powers in the UK have been violating all major obligations that are required by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and various related international charters, the GUARDIAN suppresses the main facts and denies the truth.
And yet the Guardian continues to be cited as “the liberal” British media outlet.
How is THAT possible?

The particular 'event' staged in the past week in the UK Houses of parliament buildings featuring Ed Miliband and the ‘Speaker’ of the House of Commons as toadies being feted by some bizarre ‘ethnicity linked’ outfit in London appears to have been linked with a man who was one of the main recipients of the 'ethnicity linked' 'grants' that the former Greater London Council [GLC] in the early 1980s.
The GLC, as led by Ken Livingstone, was getting almost always favourable coverage in the ‘ethnicty-linked’ ‘newspapers’ published by the ‘ethnic entrepreneurs’. It was that coverage that played THE DECISIVE role in creating the myth that Ken Livingstone was THE FRIEND of the ‘ethnic’ communities. The words and the terms ‘ethnic’ and ‘ethnic minorities’ in the context of London in the years 1981-1986 denoted without substantial variation the communities of people in inner London boroughs who came from Asia and or Africa and in the context of Hackney, Brent, Lambeth, Islington and Southwark from various islands in the Caribbean where the British colonialists had ruled for centuries. It is only a matter of time before the London DAILY MAIL brings to readers another scintillating item featuring Sally Bercow, the highly-publicity-linked ‘spouse’ of the UK’s almost as ‘newsworthy’ Speaker John Bercow.
One of the most important things john Bercow has in his real CV is the fact that he played a very central propaganda role as part of the Federation of Conservative Students [FCS]. The FCS may not feature as an important thing in John Bercow's official bio data these days but he has never distanced himself from the racist ideology of the FCS that was so central in the assaults on the human rights of the people that the FCS had targeted in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
This week it was John Bercow himself who again featured in what appears to have become an ethnicty-linked lobbying route ‘into the UK Parliament’. This diversionary indulgence in antidemocratic peddling has been seen in the utterances that the Official Opposition MPs’ leader Ed Miliband made at an event , apparently organised by another ’ethnicity-linked’ ‘media’ ‘group’.
AADHIKAR Media will shortly be updating our examination of the ethnicty-linked media groups in the context of their activities in and around London over the past decades.
Back to the past week and the role that Ed Miliband appears to have been ill-advised into playing when he made an appearance at the event.
In the appearance, Ed Miliband apparently made utterances that suggest that he supported the view that there should be more people in public life in effect representing the ethnicty-linked composition of the UK Society at present.
The accounts seen so far by AADHIKAR Media so far do not show any evidence that Miliband was referring to Tower Hamlets, as such. Although it has also been confirmed that there were several individuals who could be linked to aspects of ‘public life’ connected to the inner city East London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
The staged event had no democratic linkage to the ordinary lives of the people in Tower Hamlets. Yet strangely, another ‘statement’ was made in the name of Tower Hamlets Council and apparently claiming yet again a huge success and achievement ‘for the people of Tower Hamlets’ ‘by Tower Hamlets Council’. As has become apparent in the past year or so, there was neither a democracy representative nor a legitimate source present to challenge that one-sided propaganda for the Tower Hamlets Council.
As if that were not bad enough for those struggling to hold to democratic audit and local accountability the controlling clique in Tower Hamlets Council.. the Official Opposition MPs’ leader Ed Miliband has been juxtaposed in images as if he is now endorsing the conduct and the composition and the propaganda being promoted for the controlling clique on Tower Hamlets Council. We shall be examining and updating on that clique further in view fo the ‘Budget’ formalities scheduled for the middle fo the coming week.
Back to Ed Miliband's appearance, whoever orchestrated or lobby-ed into being.
Ed Miliband is being careless if he thinks that making appearances at these events and issuing statements of the sort he has reportedly made at the event concerned as staged this week in the Palace of Westminster or in its vicinity, is a democratically accountable and legitimate use of the privileges and links that area available to him by the facts of his being an MP as well as the leader of the Official Opposition Party in the present Parliament.
The carelessness is multifaceted.
Firstly because those getting him to appear on these stages are not doing any favours to the democratic and the economic, social and ethical needs,m rights, preferences and concerns let alone demands of the anonymous collections of ordinary people in whose ethnicty-linked and packaged names they are doing their business. This raises the question: Does Ed Miliband know the difference between the invited crowds of alleged ethnicty-linked ‘representatives’ AND the communities of ordinary people out in the communities? There is no evidence to show that Ed Miliband knows this when it matters in the context of the suppression of democratic legitimacy by the Bliared Party bureaucracy of which he is now ‘the leader’ in the context of Tower Hamlets and as being churned out via certain ethnicty-linked but highly dubious and inauthentic outlets as still licensed by the official ‘regulatory’ agencies in place “to regulate the conduct of the media” in the UK. That regulation is absent as far as the contens, the thrust and the disservice to democracy in the inner cities generally and in this context in Tower Hamlets is concerned.

Lutfur Rahman accompanied by one of Tower Hamlets Council’s senior education officials, returned to the HEBA Women’s project in Brick Lane London E1 on Tuesday this week to follow up on the pledge he had given in October 2010 whilst seeking elected office in the Borough, that he would support the project.
On Tuesday Lutfur spoke to me outside the project's premises in Brick Lane about the “important HEBA project”.
He then attended a meeting with HEBA staff now giving their time as de facto volunteers for the project and about 20 women from the East End who have been attending classes and training events when HEBA has had sufficient funding.
During his meeting with them on Tuesday, Lutfur Rahman reiterated his pledge to back HEBA .
In the middle of October 2010, Kay Jordan told me that HEBA needed sustained funding support. When I asked who the women receiving HEBA education and training help were, Kay told me that almost all of them were women from Tower Hamlets.
A high proportion of them with Bangladeshi backgrounds. That makes HEBA an ideal project for dedicated and sustained support by the entire community, people and the local Council. I shall be following progress of the activities by Tower Hamlets Council as the local authority in context after Lutfur’s HEBA visit of this week. In the next report later toady, I shall begin a review of Michael Gove in context.

Lutfur Rahman accompanied by one of Tower Hamlets Council’s senior education officials, returned to the HEBA Women’s project in Brick Lane London E1 on Tuesday this week to follow up on the pledge he had given in October 2010 whilst seeking elected office in the Borough, that he would support the project.
On Tuesday Lutfur spoke to me outside the project's premises in Brick Lane about the “important HEBA project”.
He then attended a meeting with HEBA staff now giving their time as de facto volunteers for the HEBA project, and about 20 women from the East End who have been attending HEBA classes and training events.
Lutfur reiterated his pledge to back HEBA during his meeting with them on Tuesday.
Kay Jordan told me in the middle of October 2010 that HEBA needed sustained funding support. When I asked who the women receiving HEBA education and training help were Kay told me that almost all of them were women from Tower Hamlets.
A high proportion of them with Bangladeshi backgrounds. That makes HEBA almost the ideal project for dedicated and sustained support. I shall be following progress of the activities by Tower Hamlets Council as the local authority in context after Lutfur’s HEBA visit of this week.

And when they do that, they moan and the Daily Mail is driven to carry the stark headlines. Otherwise, things are left to fester and fester and fester. For this reason the Big Society promotion is a Big Sick Joke to most East Enders struggling to enjoy ‘home’ on the sink estates that Tower Hamlets Council has allowed prevail and thus to become no-go neighbourhoods for the big majority of the residents in the given areas. Neither “Dr” Kevan Collins the over hyped town clerk nor the “elected councillors” care about the socially sinking states of the sink estates. Tower Hamlets Council is in a Collusion with the Conservatives and the token ‘minor’ ‘party’ ‘councillors’ on keeping quiet about this as long as the ‘wider public’ doesn’t find out about the sinking state.... Whichever way they are looked at they have been - and are continuing to remain - unaccountable, unaudited and uncaring. So they are the ones that should be held to account to begin with. They are the ones that should be demonstrably held to account for the hundreds of £Millions that they have pocked by way of ‘salaries’, ‘bonuses’ and ‘other costs’ in the name of serving the population that has been reduced to the states of sinking social disparities, discord and disability all across this East End borough. Cameron will listen to the very sort of ‘reliable sources’ that have cared the sinking mess. And he will even ‘honour’ some of them in no time at all for creating the bad society that is certainly getting badder [Oops! ‘worse’] by the hour. With the passage of every hour that sees another repeat by David Cameron of his Fake Society chant, there is another thousand casualties of the bad society being added to whatever is supposed to still operate as ‘emergency’ services.... Tower Hamlets Council is in a Collusion with the Conservatives and the token ‘minor’ ‘party’ ‘councillors’ on keeping quiet about this as long as the ‘wider public’ doesn’t find out about the sinking state.... By the looks of it, the “moderate” “journalists” “specialising” in the fanatical propaganda journalism about the Borough's allegedly fundamentalist tendencies are content to let the same Council.. maintain the sinking standards on so many estates and neighbourhoods.
Thousands of people across this one inner city east London borough endure misery of indescribable proportions every week.
There is no ‘authority’ serving the needs of the population in the vast majority of cases. It is not Thousands of young people are growing up in Tower Hamlets without the universal standards of education and without being equipped with the universal values that are absolutely important for a responsible dignified and positive life. This is not something that has just come about in recent weeks or months or even years. This is something that “local politicians” of all parties and groups have been party to creating over the years. Years that have witnessed Tower Hamlets “Labour Party” [which has been in “elected” control of the local Tower Hamlets Borough Council for all that time] be ‘in control’ via special bureaucratic and undemocratic control from the Party HQ.
That has been taking place with the local people having neither any say nor any requirements from ‘the party’ TO have or to OFFER any say about what is taking place in the name of the Borough inside the Party that has been in control of the local Council or what has been actually being ‘thought’ by the “elected” councillors who have been used by the controlling Party's bureaucracy and by the internal controlling clique on the Council itself.
Whichever way they are looked at they have been - and are continuing to remain - unaccountable, unaudited and uncaring. So they are the ones that should be held to account to begin with. They are the ones that should be demonstrably held to account for the hundreds of £Millions that they have pocked by way of ‘salaries’, ‘bonuses’ and ‘other costs’ in the name of serving the population that has been reduced to the states of sinking social disparities, discord and disability all across this East End borough. But Cameron is not going to even acknowledge this statement of the state of the sinking estates that we have here diagnosed and updated.
Cameron will listen to the very sort of ‘reliable sources’ that have cared the sinking mess. And he will even ‘honour’ some of them in no time at all for creating the bad society that is certainly getting badder [Oops! ‘worse’] by the hour. With the passage of every hour that sees another repeat by David Cameron of his Fake Society chant, there is another thousand casualties of the bad society being added to whatever is supposed to still operate as ‘emergency’ services....
Society is rotting because democracy is missing. But Cameron is on to a con and he is too busy confecting his spin to notice that it is democracy that he must do his best urgently and immediately to restore... He will not do anything for democracy. Why? Because he does not care for democracy. He cares for the agenda that Big Business prefers. And Big Business prefers a smokescreen to be created.
This is the truth.
The truth that Ed Miliband has appropriately failed to notice let alone to condemn. Why? Because like David Cameron himself Ed Miliband too is cosy with Big Business. There is not much that separates them. Elecant the dates of their careers in the particular posts.

My name is Matthew Smith. It is my privilege to deliver this petition on behalf of residents living around Brick Lane.
My colleague Mr Philip Vracas, who is also a local resident, has received representations from local Bangladeshi restaurateurs who also support this petition.
Councillors you will have already received the text of our petition in your agendas.
There are two points that I would like to make.
1. Firstly I would say is that the petitioners who have brought this petition before Tower Hamlets Council represents a cross section of society in Spitalfields and Banglatown.
The names of petitioners from Folgate Street, Elder Street, Wilkes Street, Princelet Street, Woodseer Street and Fournier Street, show that it is a cross community petition.
They all have a stake in the enforcement of what is existing London Borough of Tower Hamlets approved policy. It’s about their quality of life.
Moreover this is not about residents versus business and tourists. You will have the opportunity to ask Mr Vracas about the representations he has received from Bangladeshi restaurateurs.
2. Secondly I would like to say that this petition is not really about the merits or demerits of touting. It is about the enforcement of existing Council policy.
In this sense it is therefore bipartisan. What residents are calling for is for Tower Hamlets Council to act against breaches of their own rules.
People who breach the London Borough of Tower Hamlets byelaw on Brick Lane could face fines of up to £500. Tower Hamlets Council adds an anti-touting condition to any restaurant that holds a license on or near Brick Lane. Breaching this condition could end in fines of up to £20,000 or six months imprisonment, or both.
Despite the Tower Hamlets Safer Together campaign launched in July 2010 local residents say aggressive and sometimes intimidating restaurant touting continues unabated.
I live beside Brick Lane and last Friday evening I was hassled eleven times between Princelet Street and Old Montague St. The touts are omnipresent and clearly completely unconcerned about this legislation.
Every time I go to Brick Lane I am approached by curry touts so the ban is definitely not working!
Many local residents would like to see high visibility enforcement of the Council’s own byelaw.
3. Thirdly enforcement matter to both local residents and businesses.
It will be evident to all here why local residents find touting obstructive and annoying.
A lady who lives on Heneage Street said to me ‘no one wants to be a spoilsport but there has to be room for everyone to go about their lives here.
Someone walking from Woodseer Street to Old Montague Street looking to buy some late night groceries could easily be hassled over and over again.
Local businessmen would say that the world famous Brick Lane is a real asset to the borough and we want to make sure that it stays that way.
With London 2012 only two years away, we want to be sure those tourists visiting the borough will not be driven away by the touts.
Warren Street at one time, thirty years ago, was very famous for Indian restaurants. Brick Lane is one of London’s most popular tourist destinations. Touts are breaking the law and they are discouraging people from coming to the area. We don’t want Brick Lane slide into decline.
It is our view that Licenses could and should be reviewed where restaurants continue to tout for custom.
During the next four minutes of questions you may wish to ask Mr Philip Vracas about the representations he has received from local Bangladeshi restaurateurs asking him to speak on their behalf.
Myself, Philip and local residents of Spitalfields and Banglatown thank you for your indulgence and look forward to reading a written response from the relevant Chief Officer of the Council.
