I reported on Thursday on Crossrail’s Programme Director Andy Mitchell giving an undertaking to address the demand for step-free access at all Crossrail stations. Mitchell was speaking at Canary Wharf as he received the signed demand for the step free access at stations. KHOODEELAAR! signed the demands in Bangladeshi and in English.

As I filmed Mitchell speak, I noticed that he was coming across as causal, down to earth, not at all showing off, if I read his physical gestures and body language right.

Now why am I saying this?

Because Crossrail company has been, in its heavy duty, power-photo opportunities, as shown with Tony Bliar, Ken Livingstone and Gordon Brown and Ruth Kelly, very physically oppressive-looking.

And in the years since the trade unionists began to demand an and to blacklisting by Crossrail contractors, the Crossrail company has been reluctant to show humility.

So I noticed a contrast in the way that Andy Mitchell cam,e across at the end of our rally on Thursday. And I sincerely hope that he keeps that outlook up and does not relapse into the offensive Crossrail posture. Physically and in policy terms.
