On Wednesday, 26 June 2013, three persons stood together as one of them, Eileen Short, presented the petition against Evictions.
One other, Audrey Aymer, spoke after Eileen Short. But she could not go on. She broke down with emotion.
The stress of being forced to live on ever decreasing amounts of income and the sheer brutality of the treatment she has been experiencing from Tower Hamlets Council’s own employees, must have got to her!
Audrey Aylmer was visibly overcome with emotion, as she joined Eileen Short and tried to add her voice to the presentation of the Petition to the “full” Council
She had to be comforted by Eileen Short and her co-campaigner Rouf Ahmad “Shibli’.
Audrey Aylmer had spoken to me earlier and I will be CONTINUING THESE REPORTS based on her statements and ON those made by her colleagues Eileen Short and Rouf Ahmed Shibli, later.
