I am aware of the many "historic" claims that have been made about the Bradford West by-election "result".

I am also aware that such claims have a tendency to fade away. What will not fade away is the truth that at all institutional levels, Britain remains a society suffocated by collections of bureaucracies that serve their own immediate needs.

In other words, mainstream politics in Britain has become far too corrupt and far too unfit for purpose.

Foremost among these institutions is of course the "House of Commons". Once assembled, its members behave in the most uncommon way.

Thus they do disservice to all the individual promises [pre-poll, of course] they they themselves had made prior to the routine of getting elected.
