An AADHIKAROnline action report in association with Khoodeelaar! The campaign against Crossrail hole….
From Whitechapel London East One to Westbourne Park station in the Westminster west London borough
Local people get Cross with Crossrail attacks and demolition

Now Westminster local campaigners ECHO Khoodeelaar! campaign slogan of 2004 and shout out their anger as they too get VERY Cross with Crossrail

“The Khoodeelaar! No to Crossrail hole…” campaign organiser Muhammad Haque has written “Khoodeelaar! Told you so!” This is eight years after he coined the slogan “Cross with Crossrail” in February 2004.
It has taken the Westminster borough-based “Victorian Society” as long as eight years before they cottoned on to the fact that Crossrail makes you cross when it attacks London’s communities and traditions.
The banner that the Victorian Society campaigners have been using is also an echo of the 2004 Khoodeelaar! Campaign slogan: Cross with Crossrail. The Victorian Society placard adds for emphasis
“VERY VERY CROSS with Crossrail”.

For years we have called for an end to the likes that the Big Biz agenda scam Crossrail-peddlers have told in claiming that it was bringing benefits to London. All main Political parties are guilty of being stooges to the Big Biz agenda setters pushing for Crassrail.

The arguments for sustainable transport practices have been denied space in the UK Parliament where MPs and Peers have themselves played the parts of stooges to the Big Business secret machine operating inside Parliament and in Whitehall and indeed in the local Councils ion and around London promoting the hybrid “Crossrail Bill”.

The Victorian Society should join our campaign for a genuinely democratic and really transparent parliament which only legislates for things that re tested to be necessary and are demonstrably compatible with a decent, healthy Society.

Historical campaigners have hit out at plans to build a Crossrail substation on the site of a Victorian coffee house.
Protesters campaign to save Big Table bed shop
The Victorian Society, the national charity fighting to preserve remnants of the era, has written to the firm asking them to reconsider demolishing the building, which now houses the Big Table bed company, near Westbourne Park tube station.
The 1901 coffee house is the last remaining purpose-built Temperance Bar built by the Great Western Coffee Tavern Company, which ran seven such premises for use by railway workers as an alternative to the pub.
But Crossrail says it needs to build an electricity substation on the site, leaving the unique building facing demolition.
James Hughes, conservation adviser for the Victorian Society, said: “This is a relatively rare building type and a strong local landmark.
”It would be a great shame if it was lost and we would like Crossrail to find a way to incorporate at least part of the historic building into their plans for Westbourne Park.”
The basement of the tavern, where the bed shop trades from, was originally known as Carlton Hall, and was used for educational talks and meetings.
Because of the nature of the development, Crossrail does not need to apply for planning permission to demolish or redevelop the site, only for the design of the replacement building.
The Victorian Society has written to Crossrail to try and persuade them to take a ‘responsible and sustainable approach’ to the development.
A Crossrail spokesman did not comment on the Victorian Society objections, but said: “Crossrail has received several representations concerning the building’s long-term future.
”The site at 56 Great Western Road is required for a major substation to provide a power supply to the Crossrail trains along the whole line.
”We are sensitive to the concerns of the Big Table and have been making every effort to enable the business to stay at its leased premises for as long as possible.”
