http://bricklanenews.blogspot.com The Khoodeelaar! Campaign’s defence of the community in the East End of London has again been recognised in a factual programme broadcast by a satellite TV station from London last Sunday [02 October 2011]. Without the Khoodeelaar! Campaign against the Crossrail hole attack on the Brick Lane London E1 area, the centre of the Bangladeshi community would have been seriously damaged. This was the summary of the words spoken by R A Foisal Choudhury “Shoaib” the presenter of the “STRAIGHT DAILOGUE” programme on the Sky satellite channel 844 [“ChanneliEurope”]. The main guest on the programme was KHOODEELAAR! Campaign organiser Muhammad Haque. It is understood that the eight year long Khoodeelaar! Campaign against the CrossRail agenda would be detailed in a series of programmes in the near future. Khoodeelaar! is now asking all the supporters of the campaign to prepare their contributions for inclusion in a series of video interviews that will be recorded starting in the next week. One of the most important backers of the Khoodeelaar! campaign, Kay Jordan, will be featured with the help of documentary files that made throughout the six years that the campaign was at its most intense. The BDC is one of the most easily accessible local "communally used" centres and its easy accessibility is an undoubted symbol of Kay Jordan's genius as a community architect. She chose that description for herself and it is one that cannot be easily improved on. We shall be running a longer factual pierce on Graham Hobbs and his thoughts about the community in the East End of London soon.
