Tower Hamlets Council Mulberry Place London E14 2BG was turned this evening into the front of a stockade. The only remitting aspect was that the barricade was almost entirely empty of people. Hardly the stuff of struggle! Yet the idea of a struggle was what most occupied the people who WANTED to mount a decent demonstration against cuts. The absence of people on the 'outer side' of the barriers was made to look ridiculous by the presence of so many uniformed Met Police men. One woman protester or would be observer of “the Council” [if the cabal carrying out the Cuts agenda of the CONDEM regime had not already disposed of the pretence and the remnants of a democratic locally elected Council already] remarked, "there are more of them than there are of us", meaning that there are more police on the other side of the barricade that there are potential protesters! The Police were costing the public the sum of £10,000 was what a man said. [To be continued]
