The MOVEMENT defending the East End of London generally and the Brick Lane, Whitechapel Bethnal Green South and Stepney London E1 area began the Khoodeelaar! campaign against Crossrail on a Saturday, 31 January 2004.
It was a meeting that had been called by Kay Jordan as based on the agreement with the Movement made in December 2003.
From that day on, Kay Jordan and Muhammad Haque have maintained the campaign against the Dirt hole that had been plotted by Big Biz and the City of London interests against the Hanbury Street and Princelet Street off Brick Lane That Dirt hole itself is scrapped. But the OTHER environmentally economically and socially destructive and anti-East End poverty-creating, internally exclusional, dispossessing aspects of the Crossrail hole agenda remain. That agenda is being still pursued by Big Business that has been using the “locally elected Council.. and the other “locally elected” occupiers of posts in the UK regional and central state apparatuses. They and the other state-controlled agencies are active in promoting the interests of BiG Business by undermining the democratic rights and the economic and the social needs of the people of and in the ordinary East End of London.
The MOVEMENT defending the ordinary people in and of the East End of London must do the defending and is doing so by expanding the base and the frame of campaign references in light of the CONDEM attacks that have added a set of extra layers and fronts against the people in inner cities UK.
The Khoodeelaar! campaign continues to defend the ordinary people who constitute the East End community against those remaining attacks and the remnants of the Big Biz agenda that Crossrail hole scam is and has been a strategic part of. [To be continued]
