A worker injured in an electrical explosion on a Crossrail site in High Holborn on Wednesday was working on the site for Barhale Construction, CN has learned.
A spokeswoman for Barhale said the worker was in hospital but recovering well.
Roads were shut off around the site on Wednesday afternoon, after a minor explosion was caused by a workman cutting through an electrical cable.
The London Fire Brigade, London Ambulance Service and the Metropolitan Police were all called to the scene, and the worker was taken to hospital.
CN understands that the worker in question has been moved from the Royal London Hospital to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.
Barhale was sub-contracted on the site by the BFK consortium.
