On the ritual cruelty of murdering foxes over the Season of Goodwill!

On the ritual cruelty of murdering foxes over the Season of Goodwill!

Sky News and the BBC both showed lengthy pieces about the rituals of cruelty and murder that is apparently part of the tradition in the English country side.

Neither Sky News nor BBC News said anything about the heartache that each victim and its parents and loved ones goes through.

Both channels carried the same coverage during Monday 26 December 2011.

Don’t foxes have parents too?

Don’t foxes have siblings too?

Don’t foxes have babies of their own?

Would Sky News or the BBC dare show such cruelty if it were being aimed at one of the Pandas that have been brought over from China and are being kept in a zoo in Edinburgh?

They wouldn’t.

So what is different with foxes being murdered “for fun” then?

Because the “British public” have been suitably brainwashed into thinking that it is okay to be cruel to foxes.

After all they are not on the glamour list.

But don’t foxes suffer too?

Have they eyes?
Have foxes noses?
Have foxes limbs that ache and feel and hurt?

Would their attackers do this to their own children, to those they care about?

Would they say that being cruel to infants was part of the tradition?

They probably would.

So that makes this a season of goodwill and good wishes!

And Rowan Williams, say, is a baddy because he even begins to say what should have been said every day from any moral pulpit worth in name in this country.

British values indeed!

'Londonis' build big in Bangladesh

Cheaper labour and materials allowed Abdul Muhaimin Miah to build a much bigger house than could be constructed in England

Berkshire entrepreneur Abdul Muhaimin Miah's opulent home in Maulvi Bazar city is one of a growing number that have come to be known as "Londoni" mansions - owned by Bangladeshi migrants who have made their success in the UK.

Mr Miah, whose family made their fortune running tandoori restaurants in Caversham and Finchampstead said he does not feel guilty living in such grandeur among poorer residents.

"I think around the world everybody has their own standards to live according to what he has achieved."

Mr Miah built his mansion about four years ago after entering into the Bangladeshi construction industry a decade ago.

He spends about a month each year there and the holiday home is enjoyed by his extended family. His wife and family still live in Reading.

"This would cost a huge amount of money in the UK," he said,

"In Bangladesh the labour is cheap and materials are cheap.

"To build that in the UK would cost you millions but to build here would cost a few hundred thousand."

Local 'tension'
There have been complaints that in places like Sylhet, from where more than 90% of British Banglas hail, prices for goods and property are pushed up by the British money that comes in and so can become unaffordable for locals.

Ben Chowdhury, another Londoni migrant who has built a vast estate, said he felt there was tension between him and his less well-off neighbours.

"You live very differently and you look very different," he said.

"I found it difficult. I just get this feeling that they resent the fact that you're here after a while."

Nowazish Ahmed Duronto Sazid, 30, said he had found difficulty finding accommodation when he lived in Sylhet from 2002 to 2006 while studying engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Engineering (SUST).

He said this was because London-Sylhetis did not like renting to students.

"When they come back from London, they like to build big - up to six stories high," he said.

"Everyone likes to own their own home, but it's only possible to build as big as they do with the help of foreign currency.

"They're making a statement about their socio-economic status.

"Land prices in Sylhet are the highest in Bangladesh, along with the capital's diplomatic area."

Mr Sazid said he had eventually managed to rent a property owned by a London-Sylheti.

He said: "One day the caretaker arrived and said the owner was due on a visit from London, and we were told to leave the next day and not return for a week.

"I had an exam the next day so it was tough. We moved out of that place after that.

"Most students I know had similar experiences."

How many "elected" postholders in Tower Hamlets actually see their "electors"?

1625 Hrs GMT
London
Sunday 25 December 2011

The local face of the age of darkness: as seen in the invisible Tower Hamlets councillors who have all but abandoned even pretending to care about the electors.

How many "elected" postholders in Tower Hamlets actually see their "electors"?

The answer is partly seen in the nightly promotion of certain "elected" "councillors" on certain "ethnicity linked", OFCOM-licensed satellite TV Channels that parade these individuals as clutches of "leaders".

When you check the details about the "surgeries" these "councillors" allegedly attend, you begin to see just how bogus the whole thing is. Councillors do not want to see the electors. So what they have is a sham programme of “allowing” [!] voters to see them during a maximum length of one hour of "surgery” once every week!

How many electors can they see in one hour?

If they give 10 minutes to each person then the maximum number the councillors can actually see is ten.

Given that there are several thousand people in each ward, the one hour is indescribably fraudulent.

Unless they are just ticking boxes and counting the heads of the numbers that actually turn up at "surgery" addresses "expecting" to see and talk to the "councillors"?

This is another facet of the darkness that envelopes "democratic society".

Is this in any way related to the dodgy businesses that some of these "councillors" are being reported to be involved in?

Grim truth about the season of goodwil is exposed in the latest deaths of hungry, desperate Haitians

From the web site www. france24,.com

Dozens of Haitian migrants drown off Cuban coast

At least 38 Haitian migrants were killed when their boat sank after being stranded at sea. Another 87 people were rescued on Saturday and moved to a migrants camp at Point Maisi off the Cuban coast.
By News Wires (text)

AFP - The Cuban military searched for survivors Sunday after at least 38 Haitian migrants died as a boat in which they fled their country started taking in water and got stranded at sea.

The gruesome discovery was made Saturday when the Cuban Coast Guard found the half-sunken boat about 100 meters (yards) off Point Maisi on the eastern shore of the communist-ruled island, the Cuban government said.

A statement from the Cuban Civil Defense agency read on state television said the dead included 21 men and 17 women.

Another 87 people, including four children and seven women, were rescued and moved to an international migrants' camp at Point Maisi, where they have been given assistance, the statement said.

The Civil Defense agency did not elaborate on the cause of the shipwreck. But rusty, decrepit and overcrowded boats carrying migrants from Haiti are often found in distress in the Caribbean Sea.

A similar tragedy occurred in July 2009 off the coast of Turks and Caicos Islands when a boat carrying dozens of Haitian migrants capsized and sank, forcing its passengers to jump overboard.

The US Coast Guard managed to rescue 118 of the migrants, but at least 15 were found dead and about 70 others remained missing.

In 2007, a boat with at least 160 Haitians sank in the Caribbean Sea, leaving 82 passengers dead. According to survivors, some of the victims were eaten by sharks swarming the warm waters of the area.

Cuban officials said the Coast Guard and Red Cross continued searching for for more survivors around Point Maisi.

Under Cuban immigration procedures, migrants from Haiti who reach the island's coast are usually given food and medical assistance before being sent back home.

Thousands of Haitian boat people had been also arriving in the United States since the early 1970s and settling in Miami, Florida.

But in 1981, Washington and Port-au-Prince reached an agreement under which boats with Haitian migrants are interdicted at sea and their passengers returned to Haiti.

Under the agreement, by 1984, more than 3,100 Haitians had been deported by the United States back to their country, according to the US Library of Congress.

But the migration continues. There are an estimated 1.2 million Haitians now living in the United States, about 200,000 in Canada and an estimated one million in the Dominican Republic. Up to 80,000 Haitians are believed to have settled in the Bahamas.

Haiti is still recovering from a devastating 7.0-magnitude quake in January 2010 that leveled the capital, killed more than 225,000 people, and left one in seven people homeless in a nation that was already the poorest in the Americas.

The humanitarian situation has been further aggravated by a cholera epidemic that has killed more than 5,000 people, food insecurity affecting 4.5 million and an active hurricane season that destroyed homes and crops.

Muhammad Haque bringing to today's life Farrukh Ahmad's Panjayree with universal appeal voicing the cry of millions for justice

By © Muhammad Haque
1215 Hrs GMT
London Sunday 25 December 2011
Muhammad Haque introducing Panjayree, one of Farrukh Ahmad’s best known poems.
However, Panjayree has remained an enigma for most of the times. Even when Farrukh Ahmad himself was around, he hardly spoke about Panjayree the poem. Nor did many of the “experts” on his works. Not in the way that Panjayree meant any relationship with real life.
In the nightmare years culminating in the still unreported events that ended with Farrukh Ahmad’ demise, so many episodes occurred that could be said top be foretold in Panjayree.

Raat poohabaar Kauto Deri Panjayree.

How long before the end of the night, Panjayree?

How long before the night ends, Panjayree?

In the two versions, I have tried to bring to life the poet’s plea. Life means life as it is across the world today.
[ As it is being endured by millions across the world today. As it is even being suffered in the UK. As the Christian religious bureaucracies issue their routine words and messages of comfort aimed at reassuring the victims of hunger, famine and injustice about their “salvation”, and as the Queen of England [and of “the Commonwealth”!!] herself is engulfed by the over-the-top coverage of live BBC and Sky news “reports” on the state of her husband’s health at Papworth hospital this lunchtime, there are hundreds of millions of people struggling to survive the pangs and withstand the lethal threats of famine and starvation across the world.

[As the Queen is shown to be recognising the role of community and family and of particularly appreciating the ”Commonwealth” of 53 Nations, there are uncounted numbers of people being neglected by the leaders of their own communities. Even more are being oppressed, violated by regimes among those 53 Nations. To every single one of those individuals being denied justice and dignity of food, shelter and stability, the words conveyed in these ritualised high-octane messages are hollow. They are empty. To those people what appeals is a message that a poet states. Just as Farrukh has done in Panjayree.
[

[
Throughout the poem, Farrukh comes across as determinedly resigned. Yet he is anxious, impatient too. The paradox is no paradox.
[This is exactly what happens in nightmares. Nightmares that are true in life.
[ Today’s news [as reported on BBC News Channel between 1100 and 1200 GMT Sunday 25 December 2011] that dozens of hunger migrants have died somewhere in the sea trying to reach a "land of hope and a meal" captures the truth of the feelings the emotions that Panjayree conveys.
[To my knowledge, which is very limited indeed about Farrukh Ahmad’s life, the poet himself, before writing Panjayree had not encountered anything like the nightmares he endured later.
[ So his thoughts and the imagery he used in Panjayree must have been inspired by something other than empirical engagements with the oppression of the dark lone night.

What is the context of updating on Kay Jordan’s importance in defending the community with the Khoodeelaar! Camapgn?
How is Kay Jordan’s work relevant to an international appreciation of something the poet Farrukh Ahmad said in his Panjayree?
Kay Jordan's work as a community architect is most noticeable in the East London borough of Tower Hamlets. As she said in here short speech on 22 January 2006 given at the Community Support to the Khoodeelaar! Camapgn against Crossrail hole assault plot, the local community contained a vital part of what makes the Bangladeshi population in the UK. Kay Jordan said elsewhere during the KHOODEELAAR! Camapgn against Crossrail hole plot that it [the Crossrail hole plot] threatened the economic, social and the community life of the Bangladeshis.
At that time, January 2006, the Khoodeelaar! Camapgn was being maintained against the background of a very persistent project that the “local” Tower Hamlets Coucnil had been funding.
The Council bureaucracy, which I have described as a corrupt clique controlling the Council’s agenda in defiance of its ethical, democratic and legal obligations, was callously spreading lies about the “benefits” that Crossrail ATTACK would bring to the area! Because the Council’s corrupt bureaucracy was in touch with most of the Council-funded [“grant-aided”] “community” projects in the area, the FUNDED projects were being used to betray the community.
And this was being done by spreading the lies.
So much so that on Saturday 24 December 2011, in Brick Lane, one Bangladeshi man who is known to belong to a clutch of Council-funded “community projects” uttered a typically poisonous lie. He said that it was the Khoodeelaar! Camapgn that was responsible for “moving the 2012 Games hosting venue and stadium” from “Brick Lane to Stratford”!
What that shows is that the couriers of the Crossrail agenda lies cannot see the depth to which they have sunk in their engagement of servitude to the deniers and the violators of the community.
Extrapolate that courier of the lies to include all the funded couriers and it will be hard to find anyone who sees the true picture let alone has the courage and the sense to tell the truth. It is against the background of a local population being so blinded and brainwashed that one bit of Panjayree, one of Farrukh Ahmad’s most powerful poems, can be applied:

In my translation
The narrator addressing Panjayree says that he/she is

“Witnessing the bleak oppression of the lone night”.

The witness
The Bleak Oppression
The lone night.

These components are universal and the statement is universal.
But it is not so when read in the original.
This is what I say after studying the poem over a long long period of time.

Witnessing the dark moment in the life of a community.

In Tower Hamlets there thus prevails a dark moment.
Anyone who can see the darkness must feel as a witness to the bleak oppression.
The oppression is to the sense of righteousness, the sense of fairness and justice. The overwhelming wish, desire ands longing is for justice to emerge.
And thus waiting for the bleakness to end.
And for enlightenment to dawn.

Big Business keeps its grip on society fleecing ordinary people...Muhammad Haque Rebutting Sky News "Dinner' [1]

2215 Hrs GMT London Saturday 24 December 2011: By © Muhammad Haque diagnosing and rebutting SKY NEWS presentation of Jeff Randall’s Christmas Dinner, just broadcast.
2215 Hrs GMT London Saturday 24 December 2011: By © Muhammad Haque.
Here is my instant rebuttal to Sky News.
Why?
Because on the showing this evening, SKY NEWS is serving the Big Business agenda.  As opposed to the agenda that must serve the people. Ordinary people. Unpromoted, unglamorous, grass roots people.  But SKY NEWS hides that fact most of the times. Only on the very rare occasions does it allow any insight to intrude. Just as it had done last Saturday, when it ran a very important piece about the 2012 Games Hosting bonanza not benefiting people in the so-called Olympic Boroughs. Back to the normal “diet” that Sky News dishes out. It is for the benefit of Big Business.
Big Business agenda is alive and it is kicking society [oops! BIG] Society, in the groin even at a “sentimental moment” like this. “Christmas Eve” is supposed to be a hugely caring occasion in the West. Britain is no exception. It is during the weeks before Christmas that all the “caring” effusions are displayed.
Yet the “Media”, the mainstream of it, is as bereft of true caring contents tonight as it has been for the rest of the year. The evidence came in the introduction to a programme broadcast in the past hour by Sky news and called “Jeff Randall’s Christmas Dinner”.
The piece contained a brief comment by the head of the Imperial Tobacco conglomerate, one of the UK’s biggest companies [“We are a leading international tobacco company”]. She stated one of the standard issue slogans about the media: that a “free” media in Britain was vital and so she felt that regulation of the media should be done by a genuinely independent body. The independent body should include representatives from the tobacco industry as well! There was no evidence in the falsified SKY news Christmas Dinner [recorded a while ago and trailed for the past few days] of the hardships done to the millions of people by the banks or by the bankers.
In fact the opposite image of Big Business was created. As shown in the presentation of the “wisdom” of Jeff King, the J. Sainsbury Group’s chief executive, one of the three taking part in the “Dinner”.  Nor were there any references to any evidence on the real faults and flaws in “the economy”. Nor about how it works. Or fails to work. Society was not centre stage in this over-hyped Sky news” current affairs” “top billed” “high-octane”  “extravaganza”! The vast majority of ordinary viewers watching the “Jeff Randall Christmas Dinner” would feel that they were suffering a gossipy chat. Totally unexplained renditions of slogans and sound bytes were thrown in.
Nothing was reported about why people blamed banks and bankers. In fact, bank and bankers were promoted by the bankers’ rep that appeared on the “Dinner”. In fact the only really civil-society words were uttered towards the end by the bankers’ rep himself. He actually uttered a phrase about guarantee of our civil liberties or of “our liberties”.
And he said that the free press or the free media was about the only guarantor of liberties in this country. Nothing was said or suggested about the actual contents, let alone THE ROLE played day to day by the print media on the whole or of the sound or visual media in misinforming the masses and in misleading the masses and in creating the myths and perpetrating the lies that actually keep society unfair, unjust as far as the experience of millions of people are concerned.
Given the thrust of that show, a gossipy promotion for Big Business as benign and ultimately good for the rest of us! It was another let down, another abuse of “media power”. It was the perpetration of the status quo.
The same myths, the same lies. Big Business rules. And Big Business rules are good! Jeff Randall did what the BBC had been doing more frequently with their over-promoted Business “thinker” who hosts a regular slot promoting Big Corporation bosses.
The BBC fails to tell the truth in that slot and it fails to deliver the public service duty to inform.

He and his wife, Faria, say they can have a better lifestyle there, but it will not be without its challenges.

Boris will gain because the Labour councillors and the socalled INDEPENDENT' mayor are both playing hostages at the hands of the anti-social LANLORD outfits like HARCA and THCH. Appallingly poor service and even worse attitude to tenants and residents are being concealed by an evil entente that the anti-social landlord outfits have set up with apparently vile fundamentalist groups. This is very worrying. And one definite loser will be Ken Livingstone. read more Ken Livingstone may not want to admit it but Housing and slum housing are threatening peoples’ lives in London in a phenomenal way that was inevitable when looking at the failures of the GLC and the “partner” boroughs in inner London to face up to the crisis as it was building up. The GLC failed. The inner London boroughs failed. And neither had any excuse for their ignorance. The fruits of the failures are now rearing their heads as the creatures of the anti-social landlords. . Nowhere more acutely than in Tower Hamlets, the inner London Borough notorious for bei

UPDATING with Kay Jordan's values on the defence of the community in the East End of London.

1530 Hrs GMT London Tuesday 06 December 2011. By © Muhammad Haque. UPDATING with Kay Jordan's values on the defence of the community in the East End of London.

A year ago this week, Kay Jordan was still worried about the health of a number of people. Her friends. Kay Jordan looked frail as she ran around worrying for her friends. One was in Hamlets. Another in Stepney. And she was on the go. Tired. But on the go,. Exhausted. But on the go. And she had the minute’s details of each of her friends’ state of health at that moment…

Kay Jordan’s values, as I can emphatically assert, were on valuing people.

And people made community.

And nowhere in England needed more of her time and endevours valuing people than the East End of London. That is how Kay Jordan saw the area… She pulled resources to make community stable. And there was no more potent resource than the one that she personified.

Kay Jordan’s values are the most valuable of the support that the Khoodeelar! Campaign received.

And together, we have stopped the one big Business assault plotted against the community.

Now, what of the community after the stopping of that hole?
