Ian Tomlinson's widow sobs as she tells of her loss
The widow of Ian Tomlinson sobbed uncontrollably today as she told how she had lost the love of her life.
Giving evidence at the inquest into the death of the newspaper seller, Julia Tomlinson said he treated all nine of her children like they were his own.

Fighting back tears, she added: "I remember feeling he was the best thing that ever happened to me."
She added: "I must say we do miss him very much. He was a great part of my life."
Mrs Tomlinson said they were in love and she always wore her wedding ring despite the alcohol problems which blighted his latter years.

The couple met at a market where he worked when she was 27 and he was 31. They were married in 1991 after she fell pregnant.

"He was over the moon when Sam (their first child together) was born," Mrs Tomlinson added.
But she added: "He did not treat his biological children any different to the others."
She believed his heavy drinking started because of problems during childhood.
But she added: "Although he had drink problems, there were long periods when he did not drink and I had many happy memories of being a family and taking the children on day trips to the park.
"He also helped around the house. There was plenty to do."
She said he was "apologetic" for his alcohol problems, adding: "He felt a lot of guilt."
