I have spoken in the past 80 minutes to a Brick Lane London E1 area resident and supporter of the Khoodeelaar! campaign.
He volunteered the information that he had been to the Whitechapel Road London E1 shortly before, attending the Islamic funeral prayers at the East London Mosque of a Bangladeshi Party person who has died in the past few days.
The man also mentioned that he had noticed a very large number of people that had tu
rned up for the occasion today. He said that several thousand people had gathered to pay their respects to the Bangladeshi Political Party person.
The name of that person is Mr Komor Uddin.
The Brick Lane London E1 area man also said he had seen the son of the Bangladesh Opposition Begun Khaleda Zia [a former Bangladesh Prime Minister and widow of the former Bangladesh Military President Ziaur Rahman] at the "East London Mosque" today. He said that he had noticed that Tareque Zia [the son of Begum Khaleda] was being helped by supporters as he himself looked frail and was having difficulty walking easily.
