Ohid Ahmed has repeatedly stated on a Dhaka,
Bangladesh-based TV channel programme, called “Tritio Matra” [AADHIKAR Media/Muhammad Haque translation of it is as “The Third Degree”] that the Tower Hamlets BUDGET is made [in the sense of being DECIDED and determined and arrived at and agreed among the Council’s membership] by Tower Hamlets Council acting alone as the constitutional entity.
Ohid Ahmed has said that MPs do not have any control on the budget. Nor does the UK central Government.
This is made very clear in the repeatedly made statement saying that Tower Hamlets Council alone is responsible for making the budget. For fixing the budget.
For setting the budget. Ohid Ahmed spoke in semi-Seelotee, semi-Bangla and used different phrases which amounted to the same thing. That no outside body or Agency or institution fro setting the budget.
It is the Tower Hamlets Council that has been responsible for doing so. This statement is a very clear contradiction of the untruthful position that has been stated for MONTHS by the Tower Hamlets Council CLIQUE IN SUPPORTING THE CONDEM CUTS AGENDA.
