What is it that Isabella Freeman actually does as "the monitoring officer" in the name of the "Council" in Tower Hamlets?

This statement below has been retrieved from the web site of the London EVENING STANDARD in the past 10 minutes or so.

The reason why we are reproducing it here is not anything to do with the particular communications between Isabella Freeman and the London Evening Standard.

We are going to refer to some parts of the statements which raise questions about the legitimacy of the conduct, decisions, actions and claims made by the CURRENT bureaucracy in control of the Tower Hamlets Council.

Isabella Freeman has been described as the "monitoring officer” many times in the past. But how many people in Tower Hamlets know what it that she does in that is stated capacity and role in the London borough of Tower Hamlets.

We are preparing a NEW series of Questions about Tower Hamlets Council and we shall post the questions on this blog as well as on other associated AADHIKARonline and Khoodeelaar! Campaign blogs, web sites and social network sites.

Here then is the London EVENING STANDARD's statement that is dated 15 August 2012 which retrieved from the website thisislondon.co.uk at 2040-2045 GMT today Sunday 19 August 2012

Isabella Freeman

On 2 May we reported allegations that Isabella Freeman, the Assistant Chief Executive (Legal Services) and Monitoring Officer of Tower Hamlets, had shown a lack of care about alleged voter fraud in Tower Hamlets and, on the contrary, was involved in a deliberate cover-up.
We accept that those allegations were untrue and any suggestion that Isabella Freeman had not overseen the correct procedures was wrong. She has, in fact, taken steps so that the council has the most robust systems and processes permitted within electoral law to ensure the integrity of the electoral register and identify any malpractice.  Tower Hamlets electronically scans 100 per cent of postal votes and rejects any that have non-matching signatures. The article also incorrectly stated that Ms Freeman had blamed Muslim voters for the claims by others of voter fraud in Tower Hamlets. We apologise to Ms Freeman.

Eid should be shared
The joys of Eid
Spread across the population
Regardless of status in faith
Just as a child
Neglected and starved
Is brought back to ordinary
Breath and life
On being found food
And fed
The sight of such a state
Of such a child
Is beyond words
Universally joyous.
Have you fed such a child this Eid?
Have you enquired after the woman?
Hidden in indescribable misery
Lacking food
Even clothing
Unknown even to these who once knew her
And to others who even once admired her
Now reduced to multiplicity of denial
Deprivation
Where is she?
You have no idea?
Indeed!
So what Eid are you celebrating today?
You say that you pray to God
For the privilege of allowing you
The ability to observe the
Holy month of Ramadan
That ended yesterday
That is your privilege and your
Right in faith to do
But did it occur to you
That God
Would rather that
You ADDED some real concern for
Some really deprived neighbours
Who are your neighbours?
You don’t know your neighbours?
And you spent almost the whole month
Of Ramadaan asking for God’s forgivingness
And probably hoping that you were
Getting the forgiveness.
You need to stop being so lazily hopeful.
Look around
And you will see that
In your neighbourhood
There are some faces
That is not smiling.
In fact those faces
Could not put on any expression
That could amount to a smile
Even if they were told to smile
The souls whose faces those are
Are violated souls
Violated the whole year round
[To be completed]

UK Media in denial about Eid today!

0820 [0755] GMT Lodo 19 August 2012.
Editor © Muhammad Haque.
18 months after David Cameron launched his VERY irresponsible & fabricated Munich Manifesto [05 February 2011], the UK Media is carrying on the prejudice and the blockage that Cameron wanted.
The UK Media is in denial about Eid today!
But in Paris by contrast the French Media is admitting the fact that today is Eid, the most important social and cultural event in the Muslim community calendar.
Cameron has set a very discordant social note and a very bad example.
As if his Munich Manifesto was not itself a serious disservice to “Big Society”, Cameron rammed home the extra inflammatory  message of intolerance, ignorance and prejudice by arriving in the East End of London  location Toynbee Hall [28 Commercial Street London E1]  where he performed an even more strident message fuelling suspicion, intolerance and misunderstanding between people of different religious & cultural interests, inclinations, backgrounds, affiliations and associations.
