The East End of London generally and the Brick Lane London E1 area in particular feature in all factual discussions about deprivation in Britain.
This link has been there for all of the thirty years since Kay Jordan began to do something about deprivation in her own way here. The Kay Jordan way of addressing deprivation has been such that conventional phrases as descriptions fail to do justice to what she has been doing.
Something more powerful than mere mortal words are needed! Something belonging in the spiritual sphere.
That this is so is an accurate measure of the meaning of Kay Jordan! Prayers are going on today as they will be tomorrow and the day after.

Kay Jordan has been encouraging people in the East End of London for over 30 years to overcome the odds...

Given that in the past weeks she has also experienced some of the most acutely felt events that would frustrate anyone with the steeliest of resolve, Kay Jordan’s role in encouraging people in the East End of London to overcome the odds can and must be seen as multiply momentous and significant.

One enterprising young man, very much an East End lad, has been speaking about the help and support that Kay Jordan has been giving him.

“Without her help, I would not be in this position today.. he has been saying.

The kind of help, support and encouragement that Kay Jordan has been providing - in response to pleas from those in need and also volunteering herself in response to her own spiritual impulses as prompted by her day to day experience of seeing the need for the help she has been giving - to so many has been in the minds of those who have been praying for Kay Jordan this week.

The prayers will continue throughout this weekend.
