Kay Jordan was encouragement and good faith personified. As we saw when she supported some 'candidates' in May 2010!

I took this picture [the SECOND picture on the panel on the right] of Kay Jordan, smiling on 3 May 2010 as she stood near a batch of then candidates for Tower Hamlets Council election in the Greatorex Street off the Hanbury Street London E1 in the Brick Lane area.
Kay and I had been having tea when these candidates walked into the restaurant we still call the “Eastenders” by its original name. Within minutes Kay got engaged in a lively cvonversaton with the young candidates who were typically delighted that she wanted them to do well in their campaign.
Before long, Kay was telling them what they should be doing to serve the community that was being let down by the ones in power.
The profound humour Kay showed on that occasion was made perfect by her knowledge of how ironic the whole incident was. kay was not an active member of any party. And these candidates were from the Lib Dems.
Kay was enjoying that moment even more when, a few weeks later, the CONDEM was formed and she could recall some of the Lib Dems pledges! “What can you do with them!” she would say when going through some of the nasty cuts and related programmes the CONDEM was releasing...
